Project Vend: Phase two ↗
is a super interesting read into early attempts to run a business using agents. I was really amused by the comment that they have rediscovered that bureaucracy matter. Early on at Thunk, Tony Fader and I were discussing how best to prompt agents when build SOP like pipelines, like the ones that Thunk.ai is great at. I started describing how one of the first lessons a new leader quickly learns is that they need to delegate and stop doing things themselves and in order to do that, they have to learn the steps of delegation. One of those steps is describing “what good looks like” and another is articulating how you want progress and results to be communicated. Tony mused at that point that maybe we should be looking at traditional management and bureaucracy tools for prompting agents. As always, Tony is eight to twelve months ahead of everyone.
